Transmission repairs and replacement

Although less so than the engine, the rest of the car’s transmission, from clutch through gearbox to differential and beyond, is under constant stress whenever the wheels are turning. Occasionally, one of those components will fail, and here at Skater we understand that better than most. With our experience in high torque racing engines, we encounter the weakest link in a transmission system all too frequently, but we know how to cope with that eventuality, and we can help you to cope too.

As with any major engine or transmission problem, we offer a home collection service, picking up your car from your garage or driveway, bringing it over to our workshops, carrying out the repair, and if necessary, returning the car to you when the job’s complete.
